The Invasion

IC:

At this, Reina's mask breaks into a small grin. "You think I'd stab you in the back?" She asked, her undertone carrying the question, 'what do you take me for?'

"Besides, if I do any stabbing, it won't be in the back." She said, as the grin spread into a smile.

IC:

Stares at Reina and his eyes briefly flicker into a red before turning back into their normal yellow color.

"So have you seen a dark creature lurking by here?" Aero said munching on some chips.

~Aero~

IC:

"Well, so much for sweet dreams." Reina said, wondering if she'd really just seen the Air Toa's eyes spazz out. "No I haven't seen a 'dark creature, lurking near here'. Enlighten us, will you?"

IC:

"They are Shadow Beasts. The creation of pure hatred, rage and negativity." Aero explained. "They feed off our dreams and souls. My friend was pocessed by a being named Chaos and stabbed me in the back. I had to kill him in hopes of beating Chaos and I wear his mask as a reminder." A tear rolled down Aero's mask and into his lovely apple juice he was drinking.

~Aero~

IC:

"Riiight." Reina said, nodding, trying to seem like she knew what to make of this. "Sounds like you've led a cheerful life up till now. And now you've got killer zombies on top of that." But she continued immediately, hoping to kill any offense she might have stirred up by her rash words. "My story is nothing interesting, though. Used to be a little Matoran. Got zapped into a Toa, fought some baddies, team broke up, I went looking for adventure, and here I am." She rattled off quickly, making it clear that her past was not a big deal to her, and was not to be made into one. "Who's turn is it now, to tell a story?"

IC:

Chaos saw the party from afar.

"It appears young Aero is at the party too." Chaos said to an unknown figure. "Go send him my regards won't you?" A shadowy beast headed to the party as Chaos laughed. MUAHAHHAHAHAH!

~Aero~

OCC:

Somebody can control the beast if they want to.

IC: [NPCs] The beast tried to get into the party.

It didn't get much farther than Varkan's carnivorous plants, though, as it was gobbled up.

OCC: The beast cannot be devored as easily as that as it is made of darkness. Pure light can weaken it, but it cannot be fully killed. PERCY JACKSON REFERENCE: Monsters reform after awhile.

IC:

Spikes prodded out of the plant as two glowing red eyes were seen in the maw of the plant.

"Childrennnn come out and play...." The beast said ripping the maw open. It's very presence made the room a little darker. He cackled as he watched his prey arm itself. This ought to be fun the beast thought to itself as he shrugged off the digestive acid off its rough armor made of pure rage and hatred.

IC: Varkan had been listening. His eyes flickered around, bored...

And saw a Shadow Beast. Wanting to show off, he slowly made his way towards it.

IC:

"A challenger?" The beast mused as it made its way out of the dead plant. "Let us see what your greatest fear is." The beast's eyes grew brighter and made the room darker. The two eyes on his hands spotted Varkan and distorted his vision making Reina appear to be the Shadow Beast.

~Aero~

IC: "What the-" Varkan turned to the others. "Guys, I thought I saw a Shadow Beast, but as I was walking towards it, it turned into Reina." The young toa unsheathed his sword, holding it in both hands. "Whaddaya think?"

IC:

"Guys." Reina said, as the atmosphere in the room was suddenly thrown off. However, no one else seemed to sense anything wrong. "Stand back to back, all of us. Something's not right." And how true that was.

IC: Varkan obeyed, putting his back up to Reina's. "Whatever you say, so long as I fight," he eagerly said.

IC:

To each person something was different. Reina was the Shadow beast and the Shadow beast was Reina in Varkhan's eyes. In Reina's, the opposite occured. Aero watched his shadow beast as he muttered one word. "Chaos."

Shadow Beast/Reina: "The beast is attacking! We must charge it!"

~Aero~

IC:

A grotesque, ill-defined figure glowered at her, as Reina turned her eyes back to her companion, Varkan. Letting out a yelp, she let loose a bolt of chain-lightning. But as she looked again, the illusion was shattered, and the shocked (OOC: no pun intended), confused and irritated Toa of the Green was looking back at her.

"Wha-" She shook her head. "Sorry. I don't know what I just saw. Sorry, sorry." She muttered, offering him a hand up.

IC:

"Looks like these guys are smarter than I thought they be." The beast mused. He planted a seed of corruption in each of their minds making them a little more irritated and angry. It grabbed Reina and wrapped her in what she thought was rubber shocking her (no pun intended ) into not using her powers and making mute and deaf to everyone. It thought this would be quite a scare. Helpless to do anything.

OOC: So there's a shadow beast walking around? Does Kpik also see it as Varkan does?

IC:

Kpik was confused, Reina had just shot Varkan with a chain lightning bolt, and there was a shadow beast walking around, "well, we aren't just gonna sit around and let it play with us." He said, leaping up, drawing his sword, he front flipped over the shadow beast and Reina, and held his sword out, in his other hand he threw a blast of ice at the shadow beast.

Vezon got up, nodded, and walked out of the room, the guards escorted him back to his cell, "I wish I could walk outside." He said, sitting down on his bed.

IC:

The Shadow Beast placed Reina in the center, unable to speak or move. But he made it so that she could hear her comrades fighting each other. That fear and anger would fuel his strength further. He watched Aero charge towards Kplik thinking he was the Beast.

OCC:

The beast has the ability to distort your vision making it seem like your ally is the enemy.

~Aero~

OOC: Wow still can't use Riglaxius. He sleeping now

IC: Chytry saw the mess. What she seeing or whatever the others where seeing didn't matter much to her. But because she was far away from, and she still didn't had any illusions. But he couldn't leave them die, right?

Chytry wasn't soulless. But still, wouldn't Riglaxius liked them to die? But wait what if, they could make them leave this place? No matter what, she must help.

"GUYS. Whatever you try to stay calm and DO NOT shut anyone, or whatever he might be!" screamed Chytry with all her strength.

IC: Varkan was still a little irritated and angry, especially at Reina. But then he heard Chytry, and remembered what Aero had said. Enclosing his body in a cocoon of spined plants that were extremely poisonous, he sat down. To be happy and calm, you had to remember something happy, feel what it felt like. Varkan slowly breathed in and out, calming himself, as he closed his eyes-

-and was brought back to the world of Spherus Magna. He was playing with his matoran friends, just like him.

IC:
Korex ran down a dark alleyway, stopping after several minutes to catch his breath. He had sensed that something was about to happen, so he left the MNIers. He could hear the sounds of battle far off in the distance. Should he go back and help? No, he decided, that would be to risky. But he felt a pang of guilt as he turned and continued walking.

OOC: I fixed it

OOC: Naruto, just so you know, Nova just joined the Bionicle: Untold team that very night.

IC:

It began with darkness.

Nova caught a glimpse of a being so horrific it was beyond even what you saw in nightmares. All of a sudden something inpenetrable seemed to slide over Nova's eyes, like a blind being drawn to block out the sun. He raised his arms, in the hopes of lighting a fire bright enough to see through the odd gloom, but found with a shock that he could not move. Unable to keep his balance, he toppled over in a paralyzed heap.

"No..."

That one word was practically stuffed back down his throat. He could hear -- that was it.

His friends -- no, his allies, not friends -- were crying out to each other. There were the sounds of battle.

And Nova could do nothing.

No... not again... never again... I have to do something!

Then he heard a Toa's voice, as if from far away, telling the Toa to concentrate and block out their fears. Nova calmed himself; taking a deep breath, he strained.

He saw his village on the Northern Continent. Matoran hustled to and fro all around him. Beside him stood two Toa -- Axis, Toa of Plasma, and Claris, Toa of Water.

His friends.

He awoke with a gasp, sweating profusely. It was a moment before he realized he could see.

It was another before he realized that the beast had gone.

He glanced to the side. The other Toa were still standing in a circle, back-to-back; but Nova could see the confused looks on their faces.

"What was that all about?" Nova cried. It took an effort to keep the shaking out of his voice.

OOC: Whatever. I'll use him ^Naruto^ They don't use books there They use projectors and high-tech stuff. Also this is around the time Korex left.

IC: Riglaxius woke up. But he wasn't on his peaceful desk. He was on a dark, dark room. He heard three words " I. Have. Returned."
"Who are you?!"
"Call me what you want. Perfectionist the BUers call me, you simple know me as the Shadow."

Riglaxius woke up again. He was on his desk. He had slept over it, while deleting files.

Ah, I forgot the profiles of the BUers. He pushed the delete button.

Now for the library BU didn't exist. He moved for the the elevator again.

Wait! If he has returned indeed, then I'm afraid, I'll have to activate it, .... again. And if I do, nothing says anyone will survive.

IC:

Aero was frozen. He could hear the laughter from the Shadow Beast.

"You know you could strike me down." The Shadow Beast laughed. "But you can't it's because you're weak. You were weak when I first met you and weak when I turned your friend against you." Aero's eyes glinted a blood red as he roared ignoring Chytry, "I AM NOT WEAK!" He broke out of the ice and used his air powers to surge towards Chytry/Shadow Beast.
